Seattle Weddings?

Boy is trying to decide what to wear to Miss Nurit's weddings. We have both only been to English weddings. Suit and tie or suit jacket with trousers?

I'd go with suit jacket and trousers. Men don't seem to go for suits at any of the weddings I've been to in this area.

James is just wearing slacks and a sweater.

and people have been spotted wearing jeans to the opera.
One shouldn't lower their standards because of others.

True, but I think trousers and a jacket are okay for most events, barring black tie.

No white socks, no sneakers, no Microsoft T-shirts, no grandpa patterned sweaters, no polar fleece, no birkenstocks, no flip flops (girls too), no Tevas, no stains...have I covered it?

ACK the MS t-shirt issue.
I swear all guys think that they can get away with wearing nothing but all those damn free t-shirts they get.
No Star Trek/geeky show t-shirts.

if he looks good in a suit, has one, and is willing to wear it, no reason not to.

Depends on the time of day and the formality of the wedding and reception... if it's a formal event I'd go with the suit and tie... but otherwise I'm sure he can get by with trousers and a nice sportcoat.

Remember darling it can never hurt to be over-dressed.
Mr. Jenner is wearing a suit.
So he wouldn't be the only decently dressed person.

All the guys in my family will be in tuxes :oP

My brother in law will NEVER wear a suit and my sister just MIGHT talk him into a tie at least but I doubt it. He'll be in Dockers and a dress shirt.

We still have to get Joe something to wear, which I have no idea when that's going to happen unless he somehow gets tomorrow [read: today - I JUST got back from running errands with Nurit and cleaning their apartment. :D] off, considering the schedule for the next two days. But I'm guessing we'll end up going the dockers or black slacks and a button up route. I told him I'm getting him a pink Ralph Lauren tie that matches our dresses. ;)

The pink tie would actually look quite good on Joe. Tell him to "Doooooo IIIIIIt." hehe

I know, and he's totally for it. He lets me dress him in whatever I like. Heh. And the few light pink polos he already has look quite nice on him. ;)
